Adding Stripe

SlickPie has taken another step making your online invoicing experience better by adding Stripe to the payment method. Stripe is a secure and easy gateway to accept payments online. It accepts all the major credit cards in a click. You can get bank feeds too for Stripe.

 

Adding Stripe, as a payment gateway and being able to accept payments, is a 3 step process:

Step 1: Adding Stripe to Bank Accounts List
Step 2: Linking Stripe Account
Step 3: Activating Online Payment

 

If you are new to Stripe and don't have an account, don't worry you will be able to create one and still link it to SlickPie. Simply follow the steps as mentioned below as they are same for a new or existing Stripe client.

 

 

Adding Stripe to Bank Accounts List

First, you need to add Stripe to your bank account list. There are 2 ways to add it:

  1. Through Bank Accounts
  2. Through Company Setup

 

 

Adding Stripe through Bank Accounts

1. Go to Accounts and click Bank Accounts.

 

 

 

2. Click Add Stripe Account in the right menu.

 

 

 

3. Enter an Account Name. Account Name is how it will display in the bank list.

 

4. Enter the Email Address that is linked to your particular Stripe account or if you are creating a new Stripe account, use the email address that will be used to create the account.

 

5. Enter Description, if any.

 

6. Click Save.

 

 

 

 

Adding Stripe through Company Setup

1. Go to Company.

 

 

 

2. Click Payment Gateway.

3. Right beside Stripe, click Add Account.

 

 

 

4. Enter an Account Name. Account Name is how it will display in the bank list.

 

5. Enter the Email Address that is linked to your particular Stripe account or if you are creating a new Stripe account, use the email address that will be used to create the account.

 

6. Click Done.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Linking Stripe Account

Once you have added Stripe to your bank account list, you are ready to activate it so your customers can pay online.

 

1. Go to Company.

 

 

 

2. Click Payment Gateway.

3. Click Connect.

 

 

 

4. You will then be directed to Stripe web where you can either create a new Stripe account if you didn't have one already or sign in to an existing one.

 

5. If you are using an existing Stripe account, click Sign in.

 

 

 

Please note If you are creating a new account, please follow the instructions and fill in the information carefully as being requested by Stripe.

 

6. Enter your email address and password on Stripe log in page and click Sign into your account.

 

7. Click Connect my Stripe account.

 

 

 

8. Once the Stripe is successfully connected to your SlickPie account, you will notice the button has changed to Disconnect.

 

 

 

Please note Although you can disconnect your Stripe account any time clicking Disconnect but Stripe has to be connected prior to sending invoices to receive payments. If it's not connected while sending an invoice, you will be prompted to connect it before you send the invoice to your customer.

 

Once the Stripe account is connected, you are ready to accept payments online.

 

 

Activating Stripe as payment option

Once you have successfully created a Stripe account and linked it to SlickPie, follow the instructions at Enable Online Payment to activate this payment option for your customers on their invoices.
